Peoria County to Survey Voters
Feb 1, 2016
Beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, February 2, Peoria County will be conducting a phone survey of registered voters to gather information regarding the countys infrastructure system. Questions on the survey pertain to the current condition of highways under Peoria Countys jurisdiction, and possible funding mechanisms to address deteriorating roadways. Information gathered from this survey and through other means over the next several months will help the County Board determine the best course of action to address funding for infrastructure projects.
Currently, thirty-two highway projects have been identified for improvement or replacement, at a total cost of approximately $215 million. The County Board is seeking input from the public on this issue and request voters participate in the survey should they receive a call this week.
