Kent Rotherham Appointed Peoria County Auditor

Kent A. Rotherham was appointed to the position of Peoria County Auditor at the February 9, 2017 Peoria County Board Meeting.
Mr. Rotherham is a Certified Public Accountant. He has run his own firm, Rotherham & Company, P.C., since 1992 in Peoria. He has previously worked as either a Senior Level or Manager Level Accountant for various firms in Peoria, IL and Davenport, IA since 1980, gaining extensive audit experience with government, corporate and non-for-profit entities.
Mr. Rotherham has a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois. He is also an active member of the community, having served as a member of the Peoria County Emergency Telephone System Board and Peoria Sanitary District Board. He currently serves on the Springdale Cemetery Management Board and Gold Star Families of America. In addition, Mr. Rotherham has served as the Peoria County Democratic Central Committee Treasurer for six years.
"I am very pleased with our choice of Auditor," says County Board Chairman Andrew A. Rand. "He is extremely well qualified for the position and I have every confidence in his ability to run the office."
He will be sworn in the week of February 13, pending the completion of hiring and bonding paperwork.
Mr. Rotherham was appointed to fill the position left vacant by Carol VanWinkle's resignation on December 31, 2016. He will serve until November 30, 2018.
