Free Classes Offered to Peoria Community

County Coroner Tour

Ever wonder what the County Coroner does, the responsibilities that the position entails, and how autopsies are completed? Well, you now have the opportunity! The County Coroner will continue to offer tours of the Coroner’s Office and Morgue, free to the public.

The next tour is Tuesday, May 8 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. The session will be held at the Peoria County Coroner’s Office, at 506 Seneca Place in Peoria. Come out and speak with Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood about what he does and the processes that he does for the community.

County Sheriff Self Defense

Learn how to protect yourself if attacked. Peoria County Sheriff’s personnel will describe and demonstrate self-defense techniques that may save your life. Participants will have an opportunity to practice self-defense techniques in a controlled environment.

The self-defense class is Wednesday, May 23 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.  It will be held at ICC North. To register for this event, call (309) 690-6900 or sign up at www.icc.edu/acp
