How To Have Your Pet Spayed or Neutered
Spay or Neuter Your PET!!!!

Spaying and neutering our animal friends is important and necessary for many reasons. More than 7,000 dogs and cats continue to arrive at PCAPS each year- most due from a lack of good homes. Many of these animals must be destroyed. By spaying and neuter our pets, we can help stop the pet overpopulation crisis and reduce the number of animals destroyed in Peoria County each year. Spayed and neutered pets live longer, healthier, and happier lives than those who are not altered. Do the best for your pet and have him/her spayed or neutered today. Contact your veterinarian for more information.
The Peoria Humane Society and the Peoria County Veterinary Medical Association sponsor a low-cost spay/neuter program for income-eligible pet owners who live in Peoria County . To receive assistance, you must meet income guidelines. If approved, a pet owner will pay $68 for the spay or neuter of their dog or cat, the rabies vaccination, and the rabies tag. Applications are accepted at PCAPS. For more information, call the shelter at (309)672-2440.
