Bel-Wood Nursing Home: Home

Bel-Wood Nursing Home is a not-for-profit, 300-bed skilled care facility proudly owned by Peoria County Government. We are dedicated to providing our residents quality care. To ensure our residents' physical and psychological health, we provide 24-hour skilled nursing care, daily social and activity services, and a full range of physical, occupational, respiratory and speech therapies.

Bel-Wood is Medicare and Medicaid certified, with rates for private pay residents among the lowest in Illinois.

Bel-Wood also offers respite care to allow an individual to join the facility for a limited time while his or her caregiver is on vacation. Hospice services, grief counseling and other social services are also available.

While Bel-Wood's unsurpassed medical care is its best-known quality, the facility is also widely recognized for its extraordinary volunteer corps. More than 200 volunteers help keep our residents very active with crafts, music, games, outings and special events.
