ROE Participates in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Oct 25, 2017

The Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition (SAP) is working with the Drug Enforcement Administration for the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 10 am – 2 pm. Members of the SAP Coalition will be on-site at the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office and the local police departments in Peoria, Peoria Heights, Bartonville, and Chillicothe to collect unused medications. In addition, there will be a needle disposal container available at each location.

For anyone with prescription medications (not needles) that need to be disposed of and can’t visit the Drug Take Back on October 28th, there are six permanent drop-off sites including the Peoria County Courthouse and Peoria County Sheriff’s Office and the police departments in Peoria, Peoria Heights, Bartonville, and Chillicothe.

For more information, please contact Dr. George McKenna, Assistant Regional Superintendent, at 309-672-6906.
