Notice of Vacancy - First Assistant Public Defender

The Peoria County Public Defender amounces an opening for the position of First Assistant Public Defender. The individual will serve as an assistant public defender and have some supervisory and administrative responsibilities and will participate as trial counsel. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Illinois, have extensive trial experience, and have demonstrated a reputation for integrity and equal justice under the law. Salary is commensuate with experience and resource availability.

Whether emailed, mailed or hand delivered, all applications must be received in Court Administration by 5:00 p.m. on November 30, 2017.  Applications should include a resume or curriculum vitae and a detailed outline of trial experience including all trials conducted in the last 3 years.
