County Board: Meeting Archive

Your County Board Representatives meet to discuss and act on County business and issues the second Thursday of each month from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Meetings are held in the County Board Room at the Courthouse on Main Street in downtown Peoria. Your County Board Members understand that the press of work and family obligations won't always allow you to attend a meeting in person when you'd like; they've made this archive of meetings available to you so you may read, listen, watch and review when your schedule allows. County staff are currently testing systems for live audio and/or video broadcasts for a trial project this spring.

Also, County Board meetings air on Comcast Cable Channel 22 twice each month. Each board meeting will air on Channel 22 at 7:00 p.m. the second Saturday following the board meeting. Usually this will fall on the third Saturday of each month, but sometimes it will be the fourth Saturday. Then each meeting will air a second time on the fourth Thursday of each month at 12:00 noon. Please visit the home page of this website for dates that special board meetings will air; these notifications will be posted in the form of a media alert on the home page.

Meeting agendas are generally posted at least 24 hours prior to a meeting, audio is posted the following day; minutes are transcribed and posted 2-3 weeks after the meeting date. Agendas and minutes are presented in Adobe Portable Document Format, video is presented in Microsoft Windows Media Video and Apple Quicktime format, audio in MP3 format. Please refer to the web sites for Adobe and/or Microsoft for current software updates and troubleshooting. Additional audio and video formats are under consideration.

To download a file, "Right Click" on one of the underlined selections and choose "Save As" to copy the file to your computer. While these media files are optimized for size and quality, they can take some time to download, even for those with broadband connections.
