County Board: Standing Committees
Executive
Meets: Thursday @ 3:30 pm
The Executive Committee acts in an advisory capacity to all standing committees. It shall be comprised of all Chairpersons of Standing Committees, the Chairperson of the Peoria County Board, the Vice-Chairperson of the Peoria County Board, and the Chairperson of the Finance Subcommittee. It considers all matters concerning the effective coordination and operation of Peoria County's programs, functions and policies. It shall act as the principal liaison between Peoria County and all other governmental bodies. The Finance Subcommittee reports to the Executive Committee.

Facilities & Space Planning
Meets: Tuesday @ 4:00 pm
The Facilities & Space Planning Committee serves as the planning committee for all county property and exercises general oversight of all buildings and grounds.

Finance Subcommittee (Standing Committee)
Meets: Thursday @ 3:00 pm
The general duties shall be as follows: a) It shall exercise continuous review of revenues and expenditures and identify new or alternative revenue sources of the County, b) It shall review all actions of the Peoria Riverfront Museum Construction Committee, c) it shall make recommendations to the Executive Committee for awarding contracts for the construction of the Peoria Riverfront Museum Project, d) it shall have the power to approve all change orders for the construction of the Peoria Riverfront Museum of less than $200,000 additional cost, e) it shall exercise general oversight of the Peoria Riverfront Museum building and grounds and f) it shall initiate all actions of the County exercising powers under the Lease and Operating Agreement.

Health Environmental & Welfare Issues

The Health Environmental & Welfare Issues Committee considers matters relating to the public health, including enactment of appropriate rules and regulations.

Peoria Riverfront Museum Construction
Meets: Thursday @ 2:15 pm
The Museum Construction Committee is a temporary committee that shall automatically dissolve upon the opening day of the Peoria Riverfront Museum. The general duties of the temporary Museum Construction Committee include: a) approve all change orders for the construction of the Peoria Riverfront Museum of less than $100,000 additional cost; b) Exercise general oversight of the construction of the Peoria Riverfront Museum Project; and c) report regularly to the Finance Subcommittee regarding the progress of construction.
