County Clerk: R. Steve Sonnemaker Biography

R. Steve Sonnemaker served as the Peoria County Auditor for many years and was elected to the County Clerk's Office in Novermber of 2006. The County Clerk provides a variety of essential services including processing and storing public filings and vital records; issuing marriage and other types of licenses; preparing property tax bills; collecting all delinquent taxes; and keeping the County Board agenda and minutes. Sonnemaker also serves as the Election Authority, administering elections throughout Peoria county.
