Highway Department: Notice of Intent

State and Federal Regulations require a Permit for Storm Water Discharges from Construction Site Activities for any project that disturbs more than one acre of soil during any construction project. A nationwide permit exists that establishes guidelines for the construction activities. Before any project can begin, it is required to give a Notice of Intent to use the Permit, to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.

The current Peoria County Highway Department projects that have submitted a Notice of Intent to IEPA are shown below. Additionally the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan for each project is also shown.
