Overweight/Over width permit request forms are available in hard copy only and can be obtained by stopping by our office at 6915 W. Plank Road, Peoria, IL.

Highway Permit

If you plan on constructing a new commercial or residential access onto a county road, you are required to submit an entrance permit request form, called a Highway Permit to the Highway Department for approval before beginning construction.

If the access you propose is onto a state, municipality, or township roadway, you will need to contact those government officials prior to construction. See our Related Links page for links to IDOT and some area Peoria County municipalities.

Highway Permit forms are available for download in the Information Library, or you can stop by our office at 6915 W. Plank Road, Peoria, IL 61616. Submittal must be in hard copy format and can be either dropped off in person or mailed.
