Jason Hauer was sworn in yesterday as the Peoria County Recorder of Deeds by Chief Judge Stephen Kouri. The County Board approved Mr. Hauers appointment as Recorder of Deeds on February 12, 2015, upon the recommendation of County Board Chairman Andrew A. Mr. Hauer will serve as Recorder through November 30, 2016, at which time the Recorders duties will be transferred into the County Clerks Office as approved by voters in the November 2014 General Election.
County Board Chairman Andrew A. Rand applauds the Board for ratifying \"the best qualified individual to serve in this unique position of transitioning the responsibilities from one elected office into another elected office over the course of the next 18 months. Completing such an important task in a relatively short time frame requires special experiences and skills. The County Board and I are confident Mr. Hauer has the necessary skills to get the job done in the most efficient, most effective, and least disruptive manner possible and we look forward to working with him during this process.\"
After earning his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Illinois State University, Mr. Hauer was hired by Caterpillar, Inc. Over the next 17 years, Jason held several management and leadership positions, including serving as a 6 Sigma Black Belt, Transportation Manager, and Marketing Project Team Leader. Jasons public service experience includes a recent experience on the Board of Education for Dunlap School District #323. He is a member of the Peoria County Republican Central Committee and the Rotary Club of Peoria-North.
