Mission Statement
The mission of the Peoria County Law Library is to provide free access to legal information for all licensed attorneys, judges, county officers, and members of the general public. Our goal is to provide our patrons with accurate up-to-date legal information. To achieve this goal, we are committed to meeting the needs of Peoria's legal community. Presently the Peoria County Law Library contains more than 14,000 volumes including federal and state statutes, case law, form books, legal encyclopedias, legal periodicals, and Continuing Education handbooks. In addition, the library is computerizing and now has four public workstations that may be used to access online Westlaw services. Today, millions of legal cases are being heard because there is a greater tendency to seek legal solutions to an increasingly wider range of social problems. The Peoria County Law Library continues to be a valuable information source in an ever increasing litigation society.
