| What we do | An elected official with a four-year term, the Recorder is responsible for recording, scanning and microfilming any legally executed document. Records in the office have been maintained since 1825. Examples of recorded documents include deeds, mortgages, releases, contracts, leases, liens, plats, monument records, partnerships, dissolutions, mergers and veteran's records. Each day the office processes an average of 250 documents, with the majority of these involving the transfer of real estate for people that have purchased, sold, or refinanced a home. |
