Become a Civic Leader

Peoria County Government is currently accepting applications for its Fall 2008 Civic Leadership Program. The program raises public awareness of the services and opportunities we offer our citizens. To apply, interested Peoria County residents can download an application from our website, www.peoriacounty.org, or call Meghan Turner, Communications Specialist, at 495-4862. The fall course runs September 18 - December 11, 2008; application deadline is August 10, 2008.
The Civic Leadership Program provides participants a hands-on learning experience of county government through interactive educational sessions. Class participants meet every-other Thursday evening to learn about the County's strategic future, disaster preparedness, jury selection, public safety and much more.
