All Kids and MPE Free or low-cost health insurance for all uninsured Illinois children and pregnant women - call 679-6608. The state insurance program provides for medical benefits for children age 18 and younger and pregnant women. Access to Care staff promote the state programs and assist families with the application process. Pregnant women are also assisted with obtaining temporary state medical cards through the Medicaid Presumptive Eligibility (MPE) program. All Kids includes several categories of programs for qualified parents and some other adults. The program is administered by the Department of Human Services and payments for services are provided by the Department of Healthcare and Family Services.
Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (IBCCP) Free mammograms and Pap tests - call 679-6611 for qualifying information and assistance for uninsured women regardless of income. This screening program promotes the awareness and education of breast and cervical health. Eligible women may be referred for no-cost mammograms, Pap tests, diagnostic procedures, and related office visits to local participating providers. Free presentations are available for community groups, employee groups, and health fairs. s and Women's Health Bingo are featured. Federal and state money, along with Komen for the Cure - Peoria Memorial Affiliate, assures program services.
HealthWorks of Illinois (foster parent and physician program) This provider network ensures children up to age 21 in the care and custody of the Department of Children and Family Services receive comprehensive health care services. The Medical Case Management section formulates individualized health care plans for wards under age 6.
Medical Provider Liaison Unit (physician program) Community Healthcare Liaisons collaborate directly with the medical community to promote public health concepts through programs and education. Liaisons facilitate assessment, policy development, advocacy, in-services, presentations, program training, and problem resolution related to public health issues. The unit also develops and maintains networks of providers to assure targeted populations have appropriate access to medical services.
Vaccines for Children Plus (physician program) This federal and state program promotes and supplies childhood vaccines to physicians' offices. Vaccines for eligible children are supplied at no cost to physicians. Community Healthcare Liaisons are available to provide a laptop Co-CASA computer assessment of vaccination levels of two-year-olds in a physician's practice. Co-CASA is computer assessment software designed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
