HIV Prevention
Education
HIV risk reduction and education programs can be scheduled by calling 679-6009. Programs are always tailored to the audience and can meet the needs of an organization's clients or staff. There is no charge for HIV prevention programs, but our funder requires that we target individuals at high risk for HIV infection.
HIV Testing
The Health Department provides free, anonymous HV testing at several community locations. Call 679-6009 for a schedule or appointment.
Prevention Supplies
HIV prevention information and supplies including free male and female condoms, dental dams, and lubricants are available from room 108. You may want to call ahead to 679-6009 to be sure staff is available.
HIV Care
The HIV Care Consortium
The Health Department provides referrals for HIV medical care, case management, and support groups for individuals and families coping with HIV disease. Through a Ryan White CARE Act Grant, the Health Department funds many of the HIV medical and support services clients access with assistance from their case manager. The Consortium can also provide linkage to HIV providers across the country. The Care Consortium phone number is 679-6104.
