Brandy Bryant was appointed to the Peoria County Board in October 2019. Bryant is the Program Director for Peoria Public School’s Full Services Community Schools initiative. Before joining Peoria Public Schools, Bryant worked in the field of early childhood education since June 2002. She has been a Lead Teacher at multiple early learning centers, and from 2008-2019 operated her own licensed home daycare. Bryant also has a passion for coordinating social and community events, as seen through her work as an independent event planner since June 2018.
Bryant was born and raised in Peoria, where she graduated from Illinois Central College with an Associate Degree in Human Services Child Development and General Education. She has been a volunteer at Illinois Central College, Peoria Public Schools, and the Martin Luther King Holiday Committee of Peoria.
Bryant is the proud mother of two daughters, BreAija and Asiya, and one granddaughter, Devy.
