Rev. Adrian Garcia graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in 1983, followed by his Post-grad in Theology from Juan Wesley Seminary, Monterrey, Mexico in 1986. After serving several appointments in Mexico, in 1992 along with his wife Lilly and three children, Melany, Victoria, and Isai. He moved to Southern Illinois to plant Jesus es el Señor UMC, a Hispanic church in Cobden, IL. Pastor Adrian was appointed to First Church on July 1, 2010, to reach and disciple our community and to begin a new Bilingual Worship Service. Making disciples of Jesus Christ is his passion as well as reaching out to those in downtown Peoria.
Pastor Adrian is the Chairperson for the North Central Jurisdiction Hispanic Caucus, and also serves as Coordinator of Hispanic Ministries for our conference.
He loves spending time with his family, traveling and reading a good book!
