National Drug Take Back Day

The Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition (SAP) is working with local law enforcement agencies and the Drug Enforcement Administration for the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 10 am – 2 pm. Members of the SAP Coalition will be on-site at the Peoria County Jail, Kroger on Knoxville, OSF on Rt. 91, and the local police departments in Peoria and Peoria Heights to collect unused medications.

For anyone with prescription medications (not needles) that need to be disposed of and can’t visit the Drug Take Back on October 26th, there are permanent drop-off sites at the Peoria County Courthouse, Peoria County Jail, Glasford Village Hall, OSF Saint Francis Medical Center (Milestone and Glen Oak entrances), and the police departments in Peoria, Peoria Heights, Bartonville, and Chillicothe.

For more information, please contact Dr. George McKenna, Assistant Regional Superintendent, at 309-672-6906.
