Peoria County Animal Protection Services (PCAPS) will be closed for adoption and viewing hours beginning Monday, November 4, 2019, and will remain closed until further notice is released. This closure is necessary for parking lot resurfacing of the shared PCAPS and Peoria Humane Society parking lot. The start date for this project was pushed back by the contractor from October 30 due to the forecasted inclement weather.
PCAPS will remain open to allow residents to claim their missing pets, but there will be no animal viewing or adoption hours while construction is underway. Staff, Peoria Humane Society volunteers, and pet owners coming to PCAPS to reclaim their missing pets will need to park on Perry Avenue and are urged to use caution when entering and exiting the property.
For questions, please contact PCAPS at (309) 672-2440.
