RestoreHOI.com Offers Guidance for Phase 4 of Governor Pritzker’s Restore Illinois Plan

On Friday, June 26, Illinois moves into Phase Four of Governor Pritzker’s Restore Illinois plan. RestoreHOI.com has been updated with the latest guidance from local and state public health officials for Phase 4. Businesses and organizations are encouraged to self-certify at RestoreHOI.com as COVID-19 compliant to allow members of the public to support businesses that are taking steps to provide a safe and healthy environment for their customers.

Phase 4 allows restaurants to offer indoor dining and expands gathering limits from 10 people to groups of 50 people or less. This phase allows many businesses, venues, and meeting spaces to reopen with limited capacity until a vaccine or treatment plan for COVID-19 are widely available.

Revised guidelines for Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois plan include:

• Meetings and events

• Indoor and outdoor recreation

• Indoor dining

• Museums

• Zoos

• Cinema and theatre

• Health and fitness centers

• Recreational sports

• Day camps

Remember that as we reopen, this does NOT mean the elimination of the virus. COVID-19 is still active in our community, and over the past few months we have done well to decrease the transmission rate. Please continue to practice good hand hygiene, practice social distancing, and wear a face-covering when social distancing isn’t possible. COVID-19 testing is still available daily in Peoria. Please visit https://www.pcchd.org/299/Testing for hours and locations.

The city of Peoria, Peoria County, and the Peoria City/County Health Department thanks residents and businesses for continuing to take steps to keep our community safe and healthy.
