Tri-County Reginal Planning Commission Consolidation with PPUATS Policy Board

The Tri-County Regional Planning Commission has merged with the PPUATS Policy Board beginning with the new fiscal year of 2022, effective July 1. 

“For over 6 decades the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission has served the region’s transportation, environmental, and land use planning needs. The merger of the PPUATS and TCRPC organizations will deliver greater efficiencies and closer alignment with the region’s leaders. We are excited to take the next step in how Tri-County Regional Planning Commission serves our region and aligns with many of the great organizations we work with", states Mike Hinrichsen, Chairman of the Commission.

The twenty-one elected and appointed officials include the following people and the community or entity they represent. All terms of appointments are for one year with the possibility of another year of service as determined by the Nominations Committee.

The Tri-County Regional Planning Commission was established in 1958 to promote intergovernmental cooperation, regional planning, and a vision for the future. The Commission exists to serve the residents of Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford Counties by offering a forum for leaders of local government, and to develop a vision for the future by defining regional issues, setting goals, and cooperatively implementing plans. The Tri-County Regional Planning Commission is the “Steward of the Regional Vision.”
